Masai
Mara National Reserve is known as Africa’s Greatest Wildlife
Reserve, situated in southwest Kenya, which is effectively the
northern continuation of the Serengeti National park in Tanzania. It
is boarded by the Serengeti Park to the south, Masai pastoral ranches
to the north, east and west and the Siria escarpment to the west. The
reserve stretches 1,510 sq km (580 sq miles) and raises 1,500-2,170
meters above sea level.
Mara
Ecosystem is bigger, the Masai Mara National Reserve is just a
fraction, which includes the following Group Ranches: Lemek, Koiyaki,
Olkinyei, Ol Chorro Oirowua, Siana, Maji Moto, Naikara, Oloirien, Ol
Derkesi, Kerinkani and Kimintet.
It
is famous for its exceptional population of Big Cats, Game and the
annual Migration of Zebra, Thomson's Gazelle and Wildebeest from
Serengeti every year from July to October, A migration so Immense
that it is called the Great Migration. It is without a doubt Africa’s
most famous safari destination.
The
Reserve has got a selection of Lodges
and Camps
that one can choose while on a
Safari/Tour
to
Africa or East
Africa Region.
Masai
